We would often travel from Brooklyn to China Town in Manhattan to shop for sound equipment. He loves Harmon speakers and amps. He was a gifted sound engineer. We loss contact when I left Brooklyn to served in the US Army. I only regret that I was not home in Brooklyn to help him during his difficult times. In spite of it all, He was the real Grand Master Flowers. Rest my friend I will always feel your beats in my heart ❤️ Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00211029480539471456noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8978904999917306191.post-84611012696039742432017-06-16T12:11:19.545-07:002017-06-16T12:11:19.545-07:00I could remember DJ Grandmaster Flowers battling F...I could remember DJ Grandmaster Flowers battling Frankie D or the Disco Twins. My crew was up in there dancing 💃 til my press/curl went wet. If these DJ were on the venue in South Brooklyn; there would be a line and a damage; 3-5 dollars cause they were hot!!! Taking it back the Zoo on Atlantic Avenue, the Colony House, Gowanus Community Ctr and last but not least Wyckoff Community Ctr. The high school that gave the dope parties was John Jay HS in Park Slope. Big up to PS 92, PS 282. Wine Park and the Disco Enforcers. ❤️ my BK ALL THE WAY🤗Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12540239833142101200noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8978904999917306191.post-63017263503022130782016-07-10T19:38:05.068-07:002016-07-10T19:38:05.068-07:00As a former member of Flowers Crew in the mid 70&#...As a former member of Flowers Crew in the mid 70's some of your facts are totally inaccurate. The first glaring inaccuracy is Flowers provided the Sound System for the Wednesday night parties at Panorama which was actually located on in Brooklyn on Waverly Place between Fulton Street and Atlantic Avenue. Before there were Bboyz "The City Steppers" led by Michael Dungee were creating that particular style of dancing. They shared numerous venues with Flowers. There is no mention of the Music Hut 812A Franklin Ave a record store where he worked in the mid 70s and home of the First DJ Record Pool in Brooklyn. I knew and worked with man, what people perceived as arrogance in my opinion was him protecting his livelihood. There is so much more I have to say but perhaps this is not the proper forum.<br />Best Regards<br />Michael A DeCrumpe<br />"The PowerPlant" Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08958939330606142799noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8978904999917306191.post-43254300310146270722015-01-23T13:03:39.515-08:002015-01-23T13:03:39.515-08:00Whats up Joe!Whats up Joe!rdhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07000541471447637322noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8978904999917306191.post-64344333437223473652014-10-06T21:01:32.604-07:002014-10-06T21:01:32.604-07:00I remember Dj Flowers had a practice spot turned d...I remember Dj Flowers had a practice spot turned dance spot on Central Ave between Jefferson Ave & Cornelia St!
